Scope
What we do
Building crown signs and illuminated lettering fitted to parapets, fins and facade panels.
Lightboxes, blade signs and panel signs installed, removed and reinstated after a tenancy change.
Banners and mesh hung, tensioned and removed, including event and campaign turnarounds on a fixed date.
Sign removal and make good, so the facade is not left with a pattern of open fixing holes.
Six monthly servicing and inspection: fixings checked, faces cleaned, failed lamps and drivers identified and reported.
Cable run and left ready at the sign, with the final connection made by a licensed electrician.
Structural fixing into concrete, steel or panel, with the anchor type matched to the substrate rather than to what is in the van.
Photographic records of every fixing point, which is what makes the next service or removal straightforward.
Process
How an install runs
01
Drawings and site check
We work from the sign shop's as built or fabrication drawings and check them against the building, because the fixing detail on paper and the substrate on the wall are not always the same thing.
02
Access and approvals
We confirm the building's anchor certification is current, agree whether a ground level exclusion zone and spotters are needed, and settle whether the work is normal hours or out of hours.
03
Rig and install
Sign sections go up on the rope, set out and fixed one at a time. Nothing sits half fixed overnight.
04
Hand over
Photographs of every fixing, confirmation the sign is square and secure, and a note of anything the electrician needs to finish.
Work types
Three jobs, three different quotes
Signage work splits into three quite different kinds of job, and they get priced on completely different bases.
New install
Priced off the fabrication drawings, the fixing detail and the elevation.
Usually one to two days on site for a set of building crown signs.
Needs the building's height safety system in current certification before anyone starts.
Electrical connection is by a licensed electrician, either yours or a provisional item in our quote.
Remove and reinstate
Tenancy changes, rebrands and refurbishments where a sign comes off and something else goes back.
Make good of the old fixings matters as much as the new sign, and is the part most quotes leave out.
Often out of hours where the sign sits over a footpath or an entry.
We photograph the existing fixings before removal so the reinstatement is not guesswork.
Six monthly service
For sign companies and facilities managers carrying a maintenance obligation on a portfolio.
Fixings checked, faces cleaned, failures identified and reported with photographs.
Quoted as a fixed price per service with a schedule of rates attached for anything extra.
A night inspection from the ground confirms every elevation is actually lit.

FAQ
Questions sign companies and building managers ask
Do you do the electrical work?
No. Connection, testing of connections and earthing is licensed electrical work and it sits outside our scope. We will fit the sign, run the cable to the point your electrician needs it and identify any faults we find. Most sign companies carry their own electrician, and where that is not the case we can include a provisional item.
What does a signage install cost?
A team of two is $2,400 a day and most installs are one to two days. For servicing work we quote a fixed price per service rather than a day rate, because sign companies are usually on selling it into a maintenance contract and need a number they can pass on. A schedule of rates covers anything found on the day.
Can you work over a footpath?
Yes, and it is the usual case on a CBD building. Whether it needs a ground level exclusion zone and spotters depends on the elevation and what is below it, and that is a question we raise before quoting because it changes the price.
Does the building need roof anchors?
Yes, in current certification. On sign work this catches people out, because the sign company is our client but the anchors belong to the building owner. We check the certification is current before the job goes in the diary, not on the morning.
Can you work out of hours?
Yes. Retail, hotel and CBD signs often have to go up outside trading hours, and night work also suits illuminated signage because you can confirm the result on the spot.
We have a portfolio of sites. Can you service them all?
Yes, and that is the work we prefer. A portfolio on a six monthly cycle gets the same crew each time, a consistent report format and a fixed price per site, which is far easier to on sell than a series of one off quotes.
What areas do you cover?
Brisbane and south east Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast down to the Gold Coast, which is where the great majority of our work is. We travel further for portfolio clients and for buildings that are hard to get anyone else onto, including interstate. If you are not sure whether your building is in range, ask.
How do we get a price?
Start with the free quote, or book an on-site consult if you would rather we looked at the building first. Most jobs can be quoted without a site meeting. Either way you get a fixed price with the assumptions written down, usually within two business days, with no charge and no obligation.
