Scope
What's included
Pruning and hedging back to the designed line, not just the growth a pole tool happens to reach.
Weeding and removal of self seeded growth, including vines working into sealant joints and signage fixings.
Green waste bagged on the rope and carried off site the same day. Nothing dropped, nothing stacked on a podium.
Irrigation check every visit: dripper lines flushed, blocked emitters cleared, dry zones photographed and reported.
Feeding and soil top up where the planting needs it, matched to the species and the season.
Pest and disease inspection, with any treatment quoted separately rather than sprayed by default.
Rope rigging, rescue plan and IRATA certified technicians for every drop.
Photo report after each visit showing condition, what was done and anything that needs watching.
Process
How a visit runs
01
Site visit and quote
We walk the roof and the planting, check anchor certification and work out how many technician days the garden needs. You get a fixed price per visit and a suggested cycle, usually within two business days.
02
Schedule and notify
We agree dates with your building manager and send a resident notice. Nothing goes on the footpath, so there is no council permit and no lift booking to organise.
03
Rig and work down
Two technicians on ropes, one elevation at a time from the top down. A typical Brisbane building is one to three days a visit, with green waste bagged on the rope as we go.
04
Report and derig
Ropes off the roof the afternoon we finish. Your photo report arrives within the week, with anything that needs attention before the next visit flagged.
Plant health
Why high gardens fail
A vertical garden almost never dies from bad planting. It dies because nobody could get to it.
Irrigation
Blocked emitters starve one section while the rest of the wall stays wet.
Timers and solenoids drift out of schedule and nobody is up there to notice.
Wind driven rain misses the top rows, so the header row browns off first.
We flush the lines and clear emitters every visit, and photograph any zone that is not running.
Wind and sun
Heat reflected off glass and render cooks whatever sits closest to the facade.
Salt and wind burn hit the corners and the upper levels hardest.
A species that thrives in a podium bed will not survive at level 25 on the same building.
We report which positions keep failing, so replanting fixes the cause instead of the symptom.
Neglect
Growth creeps across glass, gutters and signage fixings and starts doing damage.
Self seeded weeds and vines take hold where nobody can see them from the ground.
A garden left for two years takes four days to recover what two days a quarter would have held.
We hedge back to the designed line every visit, so it never gets that far away again.

Programme
What a maintenance agreement covers
A set cycle, usually quarterly, or monthly to two monthly on fast growing green walls and vines.
The same crew each visit, so nobody relearns the building or the irrigation layout.
A fixed price per visit for the life of the agreement, so the levy budget is known in advance.
Seasonal variation built in: heavier pruning through the growing season, closer irrigation attention through summer.
A photo report after every visit, so the committee can see the garden without going up to it.
A longer catch up cycle quoted separately where the garden has been left, then straight onto the normal cycle.
Variations such as replanting or soil replacement quoted before the visit, never added afterwards.
Access, rigging and rescue cover included in the visit price, not billed as a mobilisation.
Why us
Why building managers call us back
Abseil Pro has been working Brisbane buildings since 2017. This is what that actually buys you.

Work carried out to the Australian Standards for rope access and height safety.
SWMS, JSA and a job specific rescue plan in your hands before anyone arrives.
One crew, many trades
Rope access plus real trade tickets: arborist, painter and height safety installer.
Cleaning, gardening, painting, repairs and inspections from the same crew on the same ropes.
One mobilisation instead of four, which is where most of the saving actually comes from.
The same faces each visit, so nobody has to relearn your building.
It all gets documented
A photo report at the end of every job, not just the big ones.
Anything we notice on the facade, flagged with a photo and a location.
Fixed prices, with variations quoted before the work rather than after it.
A fixed price with the assumptions written down, and a free on-site consult if you would rather we looked first.
FAQ
Questions building managers ask
How often does a vertical garden need maintaining?
Most Brisbane buildings run quarterly. Fast growing green walls and anything with vines on the facade usually go monthly or every two months, because growth across glass and signage becomes a problem long before the planting looks untidy. We suggest a cycle after the site visit and adjust it once we have seen the garden through a full season.
What does a maintenance visit cost?
A typical visit runs $2,400 to $7,000. Pricing is per technician day, so a single green wall on one elevation sits at the lower end and a CBD tower with planters built into every few levels sits at the upper end. A building that has been left for a year or more needs a longer catch up cycle first, which we quote separately.
Do residents need to do anything?
No. We work from outside on rope. The notice we send ahead asks residents to keep balcony doors shut and bring washing in while we pass their level. We do not need access to any apartment.
What happens to the green waste?
It is bagged on the rope as we work and carried off site the same day. Nothing is dropped, and nothing is left stacked on a podium or a roof for someone else to deal with.
Can you sort out the irrigation as well?
We check it every visit, flush the dripper lines and clear blocked emitters as part of the normal work. Anything beyond that, a failed solenoid, a split line or a zone that needs redesigning, we photograph, report and quote. Work on the plumbing side of the tap goes to your plumber.
What if the building has no roof anchors?
Can you replace plants that have died?
Yes, quoted separately, with the species matched to the position rather than to whatever was planted there originally. If the same spot keeps failing, the report will tell you why before you pay to fill it a second time.
How do we get a price?
Start with the free quote, or book an on-site consult if you would rather we looked at the building first. Most jobs can be quoted without a site meeting. Either way you get a fixed price with the assumptions written down, usually within two business days, with no charge and no obligation.
What areas do you cover?
Brisbane and south east Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast down to the Gold Coast, which is where the great majority of our work is. We travel further for portfolio clients and for buildings that are hard to get anyone else onto, including interstate. If you are not sure whether your building is in range, ask.
Can garden maintenance go into a maintenance agreement?
Yes, and gardens suit one better than most services, because planting needs attention on a schedule rather than when someone notices it has got away. We set the visits into a fixed calendar, quarterly or twice a year depending on the planting, priced for the full three to five year term with an equal monthly payment option. Anything else we do on the building can sit in the same agreement. See how our maintenance agreements work.
